A multi-million pound business, clients range from super majors (Shell, BP, Chevron, Total etc) to smaller, but no less impressive independent oil companies, who contract our innovative services to add value, which can reach hundreds of millions of dollars on single projects.
In order to support our Business Development and Marketing plan, Merlin is looking for a temporary Marketing Co-ordinator to work with the technical team to create and curate our communication with the outside world; locally and internationally as well as implementing our market intelligence gathering and client development processes.
This is a key position, essential to the ongoing growth of an exceptional business that has been awarded TWO Queen’s Awards for Enterprise, amongst its various accolades so far. Merlin personnel are often asked to speak at, or chair leading industry events, have supported UKTI interests overseas and fulfilled the role of government advisors on how Advanced Drilling Techniques can increase hydrocarbon recovery from the North Sea. Better never stops for our people.
You will have held a responsible marketing position, have an impressive track record and may have worked in a dynamic growing business. You will possess a can-do, results focused attitude with a passion for detail and exceeding expectations. Oil industry and/or international experience, as well a second language such as Spanish, Russian or Arabic would be beneficial, but not essential.
This is a varied and exciting role, initially part-time (20 hours per week) for three months but which has the potential to develop into full time employment with a business that is employee-owned and aspires to be the employer of choice.
